Red Stripe EP - B-side on Snotty Snail records
Snotty Snail was the label of the North East Lancs Musicians Collective, the base of the Pendle punk scene 1979-80. Best known on the label were NOTSENSIBLES. Nelson band Tiger Tails also released a single.
This is the B-side of the ultra-rare Red Stripe EP and the first track is a very astute anti-racist testament, as part of an all-inclusive, all-accepting local movement. 'Clive', the singer is one of two guitarists who recorded on the label to later become a doctor. There's a clever reference to 'Gala shoes', Khany's parents shoe shop on Colne Rd.
'Three old bags sitting reading' gets a French translation
