The Postal Rule - Contract Law - Acceptance of a contract by non-instantaneous communication

In general, acceptance is communicated instantly (e.g. phone, email, text) and is valid when and where the offeror RECEIVES it.

If acceptance is communicated by non-instantaneous communication (e.g. snail mail/post) acceptance is deemed valid (thus binding the agreement) when the acceptance is SENT.
