Denmark Road Trip (Pt.3) - Hooray For Hirtshals | Next Stop Everywhere

We've ALMOST made it, we're on our way to the very top of Denmark as we roll into the stunning port town of Hirtshals ready for a few days of rest and relaxation.

But first, we start off at Aabybro Mejeri, a dairy and cafe on the banks of the river Ryå - of which the dairy's ice cream, 'Ryå Is', takes its name - and boy, is it delicious!

We also take a closer look at the brilliant Pintrip scheme we've been ranting on about for a few weeks now - seriously, we love it! (Links in the description below!)

Anyway, as we arrive into Hirtshals, we park up at the beautiful Hirtshals Camping, overlooking the clear, blue North Sea (or Nordseøn as the Danes say!). After an evening of beach walks and BBQs to settle in, the next day we visit the BIGGEST aquarium in Northern Europe, Nordseøn Oceanarium (the main tank is 4.5million litres don't ya know!).

After Claire gets soaked on a genuine Hurricane Simulator, we also stop in at the gorgeous Hirtshals Fyr (Lighthouse) where we admire the breathtaking views and then finish with a WW2 history tour of the '10th Battery' German military bunkers, at the Bunker Museum just on the shore below.

There's only one thing left to say - Hooray for Hirtshals!
