Nuclear Energy, the State of the Uranium Markets, and More

This Monday, I met Malcolm Rawlingson, a nuclear engineer with over 50 years of experience in the nuclear industry. He got his degree in nuclear engineering at the University of London in the 1970s, and still works in the nuclear industry today.

Malcolm is a long time uranium investor, who visited Mike Alkin's uranium podcast in 2019. That podcast was called "A master class in uranium... and the best risk/reward setup I’ve ever seen".

When I asked Malcolm whether uranium is still the best risk/reward setup today, he said "it depends". Uranium, the metal, has already had quite a good run-up in the last 5 years. Malcolm thinks it could still go to $200/lb, but that doesn't mean you can just pick up any uranium stock. Malcolm even told me he doesn't like most companies.

In this conversation, we discussed different topics around uranium investing, as well as the current nuclear energy landscape.
