Stimulus News:
Bernie Sanders has been very outspoken for another stimulus check for the past week. He most recently said congress cannot go home for the Christmas holiday until they pass $1200 checks for the people.

Sanders is also pushing Democratic leadership to turn down the $900 billion dollar bi-partisan proposal because of its lack of stimulus checks.

The general consensus among nearly all citizens and politicians is that another check would be good for the economy and good for the soul.

However, there are economists who say that a second direct check should only happen if there is jobless aid in place first.

The argument is that a dollar spent on boosting unemployment does more economic good than a dollar spent on a blanket stimulus. The reasoning is someone who is on unemployment will on average be in more need than someone with a job.

This of course isn’t true for all cases.

Good news regarding negotiations. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer has said Democratic leaders are open to accepting a smaller deal that doesn’t include state and local aid.

This is massive progress of the past several months of stalemates.
