In the first three video clips, beneath a typical brewing highveld storm, we see three Transnet Freight Rail class 18Es and their salt train from Botswana trundling along the Potchefstroom to Vereeniging mainline.

On December 15th, 2021, PRASA's mainline service - 'Shosholoza Meyl' - got back on track with a Johannesburg to East London train! With a friendly hoot from the driver, the Shosholoza Meyl, behind Grindrod's RM30-12, passes through Skansdam, on the Germiston to Vereeniging mainline.
