House renovation in Provence - Creating a new kitchen - day 1

After creating new bedrooms and bathrooms in the open space in the upstairs of the house a couple of years ago, we have now started to create the new kitchen that we have been planning for some time.
Today we started the process, sorting and clearing the stone from the terrace, before chasing out the outline of what will be the new door onto the top terrace.
The kitchen will be created in our current utility room and we have a lot of work to do, before we can start using it and realising our dream of just being able to walk onto the terrace from the kitchen with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.
Today was a good day in just getting the process started
