I purchased this great mini PC for the price of 280 USD using a coupon. It was listed at 450 USD, so the coupon made a very significant price reduction, which I advise you to wait for in the near future, if the promotion I used is now expired.

As you can see in the video, it is a 6 core i7-8750H processor, with 2 NVMe slots, 1 SATA slot, and 2 RAM slots. A card with Wifi and BT is already installed in the device. It is a barebone system, the ideal choice, because you can source the SSD and the RAM locally with proper warranty, these being the items which are more susceptible to warranty claims. I added an SSD of 1 TB Kingston KC2000 and 2x16 GB sticks of DDR4 RAM clocked at 2666 Mhz.

The BIOS has a few power options available, but they can be fully accessed with the Intel XTU software. If you get an "unsupported platform error" when installing XTU, it can be bypassed by a little editing of the install parameters (google the issue). In terms of performace, the system barely breaks a sweat for 1080p video encoding, with 50% CPU usage and 60 C temperature. For general processor scores there are plenty of online results already, as it is not a new processor.

The thing I love most about this system is that it is very silent in idle and day to day usage. The fan barely makes it to 44 dB, which means it is practically inaudible. You will not know if it is on or off, just by listening in the room. When encoding 1080p video the fan ramps up a little more and it hovers at around 57 dB., which is quite audible but not annoying. And when the processor is in full 100% usage, the fan revs up even higher to peaks of 65-67 dB, which is considerably loud, but keeps the CPU temps hovering around 80 C.
