Media has ‘never been so untrustworthy as it is now’: Bolt
Sky News host Andrew Bolt says the media has “never been as untrustworthy as it is now” amid the censorship of and refusal to report the Hunter Biden story.
“I feel like I can’t trust anything now that I read or see unless I’ve checked the facts for myself,” Mr Bolt said.
“And when it comes to the American election – the vote’s in just two weeks – everything tells me that the media’s never been as untrustworthy as it is now.
“The spin, the lies, the bullying, the fake news and now – which is a new twist – simply the refusal to report what is obviously news, but news that doesn’t fit the ideology.”
Mr Bolt pointed to the Hunter Biden story; the New York Post released an expose detailing links between Joe Biden and his son who was paid at least $50,000 a month to sit on the board of a Ukrainian energy company who allegedly set up a meeting with the then-Vice President.
“I don’t know if all this is true, I mean it sounds true, but I do know that if it was not true Joe Biden would just come out and say so,” Mr Bolt said.
“And if this all was just a hoax, wouldn’t anti-Trump outlets like the New York Times and the Washington Post and CNN and NBC and America’s ABC – all of them, wouldn’t they have worked day and night to prove it wrong?
“What’s even more sinister is that Facebook and Twitter have joined in to stop voters in America – stop anyone - from seeing this story.”
