Armenian lullaby "Ari im sokhak"

The second Aurora Prize Ceremony took place on May 28, 2017, at the Yerevan Sports and Concerts Complex. The 2017 Aurora Prize Ceremony rich in music and dance performances revolved around lullabies of Armenia and the peoples represented by the Aurora heroes, based on the shocking episode about the liberation of the Armenian child after the Armenian Genocide. During the Armenian Genocide, an Armenian child abducted from his Armenian mother was liberated from captivity thanks to his mother's lullaby. Through these years many Armenian and international organizations succeeded in finding and rescuing many Armenian orphans who forgot the mother tongue in the former Ottoman Empire. During those years, as a result of large-scale search and rescue operations under the slogan "One Armenian - One Piece of Gold", many Armenian orphans acquired their Armenian identity and could return to Armenian circles.
During the event, famous singer Anna Mayilyan and attendees performed the Armenian lullaby “Ari im sokhak” (Come to my nightingale).
