The oopsie video!! Three fails, a filming snafu, a ruined pour and a do-over! This was supposed to be a quick video of a bloom with negative space on a 14' IKEA Lazy Susan, but then life happened--or rather my husband happened LOL. Anyway, this SheleeArt bloom technique color combo was inspired by the lovely and talented Rinske Douna.

Colors/Brands/Pouring Recipe:

House Paint-base aka puddle for the substrate:

PPG Multi-Pro in Eggshell.

Pouring Medium aka PM Recipe—mix with all colors EXCEPT the cell activator:

Behr 8300 Untinted Deep Base Paint (Home Depot); Minwax Polyacrylic Gloss 2:1.2 ratio paint to varnish. Mix well.

Brands/Colors mixed:

This Little Piggy Pigments-- Golden Peach and Watermelon
Golden Fluid Acrylics Iridescent Bright Gold

Boom Gel Stain straight from the bottle in Rose Gold (Limited Edition)

Golden Fluid Acrylics-- I put about 2-2 1/2 ounces of the pouring medium into a 3 ounce cup, then squirt in color until I reach my desired shade. Mix well.

For tube paint, I added an ounce of paint (heaping tablespoon) to a 3 ounce cup, then added 2 ounces of pouring medium. If still thick then I'll add a teaspoon of varnish/water to thin. (I make a bottle of "Jo-Wa" by adding 1/3 JoSonja Gloss Varnish and the rest water, and keep it in a squeeze bottle and use as my "water.")

All pigments are 1/8th tsp. pre-disbursed with a small amount of JoSonja Varnish to wet it (stir really well), then add into a 3 oz. cup of Pouring Medium; stir well.

Cell Activator Color:

Australian Floetrol + Amsterdam Lamp Black and Amsterdam Light Gold. 3:1 ratio Floetrol to paint.
