Road to Captain: Hazardous Cargo Goes Exactly as Expected | Neofly | MSFS 2024

NeoFly handed me 1,090 lbs of toxic chemicals and a very strict vertical speed limit. What followed was entirely predictable.

The mission: fly the PC-12 from Wiser Municipal to Tri-Cities in Washington — 154 nautical miles with hazardous cargo that would trigger a toxic leak if I climbed or descended too sharply. The dispatcher started warning me about my FPM before I'd even finished the climb out. Getting over the mountain range while staying within the vertical speed limit was a slow, stressful crawl — and the descent into Tri-Cities was even worse. I needed to lose thousands of feet at about 400 FPM, in sequence with ATC vectors, while watching the cargo pressure warnings tick up on final. Spoiler: I did not succeed. The toxic leak triggered on approach, the mission was failed before the wheels even touched, and then the landing was bad too. The game gave me 190 XP as a consolation prize. I'll take that as a win.
