What's up, HorrorFam? Steven A.K.A Bojangles here, and come closer, my friends, I have something scary to show you! With Valentine's Day approaching rather quickly, I think it's time we take a look back at Valentine (2001) and go over 10 things you didn't know about this underseen slasher flick.

#1: I go over the original opening they had planned for the movie but was later changed during rewrites. That's right, the original opening didn't take place at a high school Valentine's Day dance. Instead, it was later in Jeremy Melton's life.

#2: There was going to be more gore in the film, which was even given the "okay" by the MPAA, but it still ended up being removed, and I explain why this happened.

#3: Actress Jessica Cauffiel walks us through her death scene and why there wasn't much acting involved for her.

#4: Originally, there was a different ending planned out for the film. Can you guess who the original killer was going to be?

#5: Fulvio Cecere wasn't Director Jamie Blanks' first choice to play Detective Vaughn. Instead, he had a couple of horror movie legends in mind for the role.

#6: It's hard to picture Valentine without the Cherub killer now, but originally, the slasher was going to have a vastly different look.

#7: Remember the infamous maggot candy scene? Well, I'm going to give you a little insight into that scene you may not know about.

#8: Cauffiel ended up making out with Johnny Whitworth for an extended period of time in their scene, but why?

#9: Actress Marley Shelton had to battle through some insane physical ailments while shooting the movie, and you'll never be able to guess what they were.

#10: Katherine Heigl's character, Shelley Fisher, had a much different death scene in an early draft of the script. Care to find out how she met her demise?
