German Army’s most successful military DECEPTION (Op. Kremlin ‘42)

Case Blue was the German Armed Forces' name for its plan for the 1942 strategic summer offensive in southern Russia.
It intended to knock the Soviet Union out of the war and involved a two-pronged attack: one from the Axis right flank against the oil fields of Baku, and one from the left flank in the direction of Stalingrad along the Volga River. To divert the attention of the Soviets from the thrust, in May, 1942, the German High Command ordered a military deception: Operation Kremlin.
