2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE impresses in our First Drive

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE is far more impressive than we would've guessed. This is the most capable Grand Cherokee, and it's excellent both on and off-road. With the hybrid powertrain, you have 470 horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque on tap. And since this is a plugin-hybrid, you actually get 25 miles of usable electric-only driving. But it's still a Jeep under the skin, so it boasts 24" of water fording capability, there's an available sway-bar disconnect, and the tried and true Jeep off-road running gear. On the inside, it's the nicest Grand Cherokee ever. The seats are great, the screen works well, and the available McIntosh sound system is one of the best we've tested.
