JUDY COLLINS - "Bird On A Wire" LIVE 1988. By Leonard Cohen

Judy Collins and her hot band of fine musicians perform the Leonard Cohen classic "Bird On A Wire." Judy first recorded the song for her 1968 Elektra LP "Who Knows Where The Time Goes," and it has remained in her concert repertory ever since. This recording made on June 10, 1988 at the Tarrytown (NY) Music Hall, during live sessions for Judy's upcoming concert LP called Sanity and Grace. This is one of several songs recorded but not included on the LP.

Among the images on this video slideshow are a black and white framed photo of David Crosby, Graham Nash, Joni Mitchell and Judy, taken by Life Magazine photographer Rowland Sherman. The image of Judy standing beside the framed historic photo was taken by Phil Saviano. The black and white images of Judy and Leonard Cohen were taken by Julie Snow at the 1967 Newport Folk Festival. The recent, color photos of Judy and Leonard were taken in June 2010 during his induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
