Making a 2D, Turn-Based JRPG in Godot 4 - Pt 9: Relaxed Game Programming - Menus, UI, and Debugging
In this video, I continue working on a new JRPG project in Godot 4. This game features a forward-facing battle view in the style of Dragon Quest/Warrior, Earthbound/Mother, and other games. In later videos, I will add an overworld, field menus, and other parts of making a JRPG/RPG in general.
Please keep in mind that, unlike many of my other videos, this is not necessarily a tutorial/how-to series, although I will still be making a game in real time and explaining certain aspects about the design/programming process. As always, feel free to ask questions and leave feedback, and good luck making your games!
