It’s been a rough year for Ellen DeGeneres. For years, the daytime talk show host has presented a bubbly, kind image to the world, but stories have come out recently that things aren’t what they seem, and now a former DJ on the show is telling his story.

In April, during the early months of the coronavirus pandemic, the crew of The Ellen DeGeneres show first spoke out about mistreatment, and in a Buzzfeed article from July, employees past and present said the show was a “toxic work environment” including “racism, fear and intimidation.” DeGeneres issued an apology, backed up by celebrity friends, but now DJ Tony, a former DJ on the show, has come forward, ready to reveal the truth about the show.
