Spotting at Robin Hood Airport - Then a Surprise! (PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION)

PLEASE!! READ THE DESCRIPTION. Thanks!
(Before you read the rest (PLEASE DO!) - if I don't respond to comments immediately - it's because I hold them for review, due to being targeted by Trolls! So - ANYTHING 'disrespectful' (some may remain from old posts that I just do NOT have time to go through now) - even if it's in reply to an acceptable negative comment - will be deleted - Sorry 'bout dat!)

The 'Surprise' is from 7:20 😉 so skip to there if you only want to see the Vulcan!
Popped over to Robin Hood Airport (since Dec 2016 it's been known as 'Doncaster Sheffield') on the spur of the moment after a day out in lovely autmn weather, to see if there was anything going on.

Not much - but decided, as I was there anyway, to shoot a bit of video just for fun.
This is why I include all the 'boring' bits (although many have commented that they enjoy these) to hopefully show that I was NOT expecting the Vulcan to make an active appearance.
(I knew it was hangered there, so I wasn't entirely surprised to see it as I panned the camera).

Unfortunately I only had my camcorder with me and no tripod.
(That's my excuse for the lousy videography - and I'm sticking to it! 😃)

Gradually a small crowd started to build up.
Those shown in the video were NOT the only ones.
There were quite a lot more out of camera shot but (thankfully) because, inadvertently, I got there early, I got a reasonable viewing position.
I had no idea why people were gathering - until I heard the unusually loud roar of a jet engine and realised . . . . . there was the Vulcan Bomber running up its engines.
What a stroke of luck.

Unfortunately I was having to shoot through the fence as it lifted off - and into the sun during climb out.
I couldn't see A THING of what was framed in the viewfinder, so just pointed in the general direction and hoped for the best.
But for the Vulcan - I wouldn't have bothered posting this.
If I had known it was going to fly, I'd have come better equipped and gone to 02 Threshold to film - but hey-ho!
At least I got this - and that was even more lucky as it was retired 4 days later, never to fly again!!
