Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be talking about the Thule Force 3 sport roof box on our 2025 Subaru Outback. Now, this is gonna be a great option if you're looking for a box that's gonna fit really nice on here. It's gonna look pretty much OEM, and it'll give you the ability to put anything that's not gonna fit in the back of your Outback or you don't want put back there somewhere else. So let's take a closer look at it. So here at etrailer, we have a lot of different roof boxes of varying sizes and shapes, but I think this one right here works really well with the vehicle we have today.

You can tell it doesn't stick out too far back or on the front either, and the shape, kind of perfectly contours to our roof today. So that's really unique. You just need to make sure that you have some way to attach it to your roof. A lot of Subarus will have these integrated crossbars on them already. So if you have that, you're good to go already.

But if you need a roof rack, we've got you covered here too. Now, when it comes to why you might want a roof box, these are really handy if, let's say I'm going on a trip, I got four people in my car with me, they got luggage that comes around with them, that's not always gonna fit in the back. More than likely you're gonna use somewhere else to put it. This roof box is an excellent spot for it. Or if you just went camping, you're coming back, your stuff's been sitting out in some grimy spots like dirt, mud, getting wet, you don't want that to get back inside your vehicle.

You can put it up here instead to keep those things out of your way. Oh, well, let's open it up so we can get a closer look at the inside. So we're gonna grab our key, we're come right over here to this lock. You'll have one on either side because you can open it from either side. That's nice, so you have the option to, that's why I like to keep it here in the center.

Now, you just turn nine degrees. That key will unlock it and you can't take it out. This is the side, so you don't lose it. And then you'll just pull here on the side. And when you see that red bar that lets you know it's not shadowed away. So we got it far of the way then, pull it some more. You hear a big click and now we can push this up. And we're gonna have these locking hinges that kind of help system get pushed up and hold it into place. And the inside is gonna be fairly large. You'll notice we are gonna have some raised sections. The way this is designed is, let's say, you do have something with a lot of grime or is wet that you throw in here, that's gonna keep that elevated. And if any of that grime falls off, it's just not gonna be laying in it, continuing to be dirty. You also notice we're gonna have other points like here. This is so you can just strap your stuff down so it's not banging around up top. And right next to that, we're gonna have these latches. I like the way these latches work. They're super easy to use. You just turn a knob now, loosen it up. I can pull it out completely like that. I'm gonna push it back in here now, attaching it down. I like this because when you're getting on top of your roof, it can be a little bit awkward to get up here. So to make that as easy as possible, it goes a long way. And we are gonna have this wrap completely around the bar as that gives me more peace of mind, letting me know it's gonna work very well. Something to take into account if you have a different roof style and you using some HD crossbars, this might not wrap all the way around or it might not be compatible. So definitely check that in our specs. But with the bars that come with the Subaru, these will work very well. And what's nice about this too is, we're gonna have the strap inside of here that you can just pull down and close this up. You hear that click, letting you know you're good. Then take out your key. By now, we can take a closer look at how it's sitting up here. So if you look at the front side, there's still a decent amount of weight from covering up the top of our windshield. So that's pretty good. Now, you can get this in a larger box and that's gonna be the 16 cubic foot. Right now, we have the 11 cubit foot, so you can get a lot more out of that one, but would be a pretty tight fit on here. Because we need to look at the sides too 'ca
