Breathtaking overhead views of Christmas lights across Orange County shot from a drone

From professional displays, to drive through light shows to home owners who spent weeks decorating their houses, holiday light displays are making the sky above Orange County shine a little brighter this month.

In Costa Mesa, the parking lot of the OC Fair was transformed into the Night of Lights OC, a mile-long holiday light show. There are also themed lands — the North Pole Village, Santa’s House, a Forest of Light and Toyland Circus — decked out in over one million lights. It takes about a 1/2 hour to drive the course.

In Huntington Harbour, Balboa and Dana Point there were annual boat parades and decorated house lining the water.

In Brea, cars cruised through the Eagle Hills neighborhood as visitors check out hundreds of decorated homes. For more than 20 years this neighborhood has been going all out with over one hundred homes decked out with lights, decorations and live music. The displays are up from Dec. 1st through the 25th.

A neighborhood in Fullerton is so popular that simply typing, "sparkleball" into Google Maps will direct you to streets full of lit up balls hanging from trees to drive thorugh.

The Grinch has taken up residence in a Yorba Linda home on Grandview Street that features scenes from the Jim Carey movie. The display has 65 custom-made props with almost 50,000 lights. The interactive display also has a couple of buttons marked "do not press" - when pressed they dump the Grinch into a trash barrel and fire shoots out of the back of a sleigh.
