San Francisco - Golden Gate Bridge, Embarcadero, Pier 39, Lombard street, The Painted Ladies

We decided to visit San Francisco on our way home from Napa Valley. We entered the city through the famous Golden Gate Bridge (which cost over $7!) and then we went to see the lively Embarcadero area, Pier 39, followed by Lombard Street, and The Painted Ladies. We only had less than one day in San Francisco, and the weather wasn't perfect since it is winter time, but we enjoyed visiting! The hills are quite steep, especially near Lombard Street! It's really neat to see the San Francisco cable car trolleys cruising around, they are all painted in various colors and each looks unique and interesting. Before we left San Francisco we made one final stop at The Painted Ladies, which are the houses you see in the opening scene for episodes of Full House! If you have a chance to visit San Francisco on your own, you might consider seeing some of the same things we did during our short visit.
