1-Minute Reflection - Continuing Service as an Officer Instead of Enlisted - Education #Shorts
Good Afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen.
After having been absent for so long (mostly due to personal circumstances on my side of the fence), I can now say with utmost delight that I'm back and ready to inspire people along the way with my past experiences, mostly dating back to my preteen years. And, I'm looking forward to do so in the most respectful manner I could ever hope to.
That being said, this is my first 1-minute reflection video on why I'd wanna go back to military service as a commissioned officer instead of an enlisted man.
In this video, the main reason I'll be covering is my basic educational background.
Throughout the years (starting from 2011), I've earned three degrees - An A.A. in Fine and Performing Arts (Citrus College), B.S. in Marketing Management (Cal Poly Pomona), and A.A. in Communication, Media, and Languages (Riverside City College a.k.a. RCC).
On top of all these, I'm also pursuing professional certificates in Leadership, Sales, and Small Business Accounting through the Extended Learning Department at RCC.
That being said, if I go back in as enlisted (instead of officer), these educational efforts would be for nothing as they don't equate to being stuck in the pay grade levels of E-4 to E-9.
In other words, going back in as enlisted would be a complete waste of newly acquired talent through undergraduate education and anything that comes after earning a Bachelor's degree.
I, for one, want to get my commission as an Ensign (O-1) in the US Coast Guard (USCG) and diligently progress to senior officer ranks (reasonably as either a Commander/O-5 or even a Captain/O-6).
Thanks for understanding.
There will be more thrilling, motivational, and inspirational videos coming up (especially with regards to my prior enlisted service as an Aviation Electrician's Mate/AE in the US Navy many years ago as well as my progress as I pursue further education, my very own officer's commission, and some standout ordeals during youth, both good and bad).
So, please, stay tuned. And, if you already haven't done so (and absolutely happen to like my video content), please click the "Like" and "Subscribe" buttons.
Thanks so much for watching. I'll see you on the next video!
