NOTE: Since this stream Douglas has moved even further north of the forecasts and information available during the live event. Oahu is fortunately looking likely to be spared the worst impacts from the storm, and odds of tropical storm force winds in Honolulu according to the CPHC dropped from over 70% to 26% between the end of this stream and the 5pm HST update.

Hurricane Douglas is making a close approach to Hawaii as a hurricane, and may make a landfall on the Hawaiian islands, bring life-threatening conditions including strong winds, heavy rainfall, and storm surge to low lying coastal areas.
