HCSO and HCCO Precinct 1 deputies responded with EMS for reports of an auto vs pedestrian
Arriving units located a male down in lanes after being struck by a car
The driver of the car remained at scene and cooperated with the investigation
the pedestrian was transported, CPR in progress, to a local trauma center where he succumbed to his injuries
The driver passed field sobriety tests and is not at fault
The pedestrian was reported to be standing in a moving lane of traffic facing North
The driver saw the pedestrian at the last second, but could not avoid the collision
