Woman Celebrates 85th Birthday In Quarantine

This is the heartwarming moment a family sang happy birthday to their grandma who was quarantined in a nursing home during the COVID-19 crisis.

On March 15, resident at The Shoreview at Riverside nursing home, Helen Lambing, celebrated her 85th birthday in a special way.

Helen was not allowed to have visitors because her old age puts her at higher risk of contracting a severe form of COVID-19, so her family lined up outside her window with banners and balloons to sing happy birthday to her.

Sales & Transitional Coordinator at The Shoreview at Riverside, Fallon Chadwick, 37, said: “Due to the risks associated with the Covid-19 virus, we had to stop all visitations to the home.
