Swimming in an Estonian Lake at Kauksi Rand! (Beach)

In this video we leave Tartu - the second largest city in Estonia and continue our road trip around the country. We stop off at Mustvee a town in Estonia that lies on the shore of Lake Peipsi in Jõgeva County. Its population of just 1,600 is approximately half Estonian and half Russian. Lake Peipsi is the border lake between the two countries Estonia and Russia, the lake is drained by the river Narva which runs through Narva, the border town of the two countries.

We then head over to Kauksi rand a beautiful sandy beach along the Northern coast of Lake Peipsi. We loved how peaceful this beach was. There’s definitely something extra nice about being at a beach, going for a swim and coming out not covered in salt! Fresh lake water beaches are great!

After an afternoon at lake Peipsi we head over to our next accommodation on our Estonian road trip in the town of Jōhvi.
