Key themes of Entrepreneurship

All businesses must have a beginning, they must have started at some point in time. In fact, all businesses must have been started by someone, and that is the entrepreneur. In truth the nature of the entrepreneur is not very well known, there is a lot of ambiguity amongst academics and teachers on the subject. This confusion often revolves around the overlapping tasks of managing a business and also of bringing the business into existence in the first place.
In this video, we will examine some of these issues, for example separating out the entrepreneur from the manager. We see these as separate functions. The video will lead us down the road of viewing the entrepreneur as someone who is alert to business opportunities. Managers, by contrast, manage the business once it has been brought into existence.
