Stop-Motion Transformation of Takara Tomy MP-56 Masterpiece Trailbreaker. I always thought of him as black, but apparently he’s a dark gray. I still prefer the Ocular Max version, but this Takara version has its good points. A bit sloppy of them to leave such a large obvious gap through his upper torso. Sure, it helps the butterfly joints in the shoulders have room to tuck in, but they could at least have put some kind of barrier in the middle inside to block the view from one side to the other. Generally, I wish Takara would be a tad less slavish to the derpy cartoon depictions.

Production Note: Pretty standard production. I used my big orange vice. Any time you are only looking at half of him (upper or lower) the other half is probably being held by the vice.

Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.
