Canon announced the 5.2mm f2.8 DOUBLE fisheye 180 VR 3D lens, specificalyl for the Canon R5 (http://sdp.io/r5) and 8k video. It looks crazy, but it might be crazy like a fox. See, this lens is designed to create video content in the 180 VR format which can be viewed through Virtual Reality headsets like the Oculus Quest (http://sdp.io/quest), which we use. There's a problem, though: Almost nobody actually uses 180 VR.
