Another high impacting atmospheric river is underway in the state of California as the first of two storm systems brings major snow to the high Sierra ranges. Donner Pass was closed for an hour this evening after an accident caused road conditions to deuterate rapidly as crews fell behind due to traffic. Law enforcement helped clear a lane for plows to pass and eventually get traffic moving again. The department of transportation has chain checkpoints setup along i80 and any motorists 2WD or hauling a trailer must put chains on or can not continue through the pass.
