Vienna is the capital of Austria and is located in the east of the country. Vienna is the 5th largest city in the EU and has had high growth for years. It has approximately 2 million inhabitants spread over 23 districts. It is said that Vienna has the oldest Ferris wheel (Riesenrad Prater) and the oldest zoo in the world (Zoo Schönbrunn). Life expectancy is 82.6 years for women and 77.7 years for men. Hietzing, the 13th district of Vienna, has the lowest population density with 1,431 people per km2, while Margareten has the highest density with 26,710 people. On average, Vienna has 4,656 people per km2. In Vienna, many people only rent their apartments and houses. Only 21% own property. Man's best friend is still the dog, and around 56,000 of them live in Vienna. Vienna is home to over 100 museums. These include the Kunsthistorisches Museum, the Naturhistorisches Museum, the Albertina and the Belvedere. Vienna is also known for its operas and theaters such as the Vienna State Opera and the Burgtheater.
