The End Of US Dollar Hegemony

In this video we will discuss the potential end of US dollar dominance and the status of the US dollar as the global reserve currency. All over the news recently you can see headlines of the potential end of US dollar hegemony and the US dollar's decline as the world reserve currency. This has been triggered by the weaponization of the US dollar as sanctions against Russia in response to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, highlighting the vulnerability countries expose themselves to if they rely too heavily on the US dollar. Although a move away from the US dollar has been happening for years and even decades, recent events could potentially accelerate the process.

US dollar dominance on foreign exchange reserves, foreign exchange markets, in international trade, and on the global stage overall provides the US with many privileges. The dollar's international importance allows the US to borrow money easily and cheaply (and at low interest rates), levy sanctions that can cripple the economies of foreign nations, enjoy higher international purchasing power, enjoy high liquidity for its currency, and print money at a rate that other countries cannot without experiencing a currency collapse. The current $30 trillion dollars of US national debt has been enabled by high demand for US treasuries and US dollar assets, which stems from US dollar hegemony. All of these privileges would be gone with the end of US dollar dominance, and in this video we will discuss the consequences of this scenario and the actions you can take to safeguard your wealth and your prosperity.
