In the field - stallion behavior versus gelding behavior - about senses
Juicioso, PRE (Andalusian) has seen something and I check out what it is.
He is a stallion, 7 y of age on this movie.
Nature is always inside a Horse, some people want to take it away but thats like taking the water from the see. A Stallion has very specific behavior, he follows who he is and the age of 7 means that in his nature he would start to study mares.
In the wild males can become herd stallion, at the age of 5-10 years, many times is seen that these stallions prepare themselves for a couple of weeks. They roam alone before they give a try to gain mares.
Some people think that a gelding is not male anymore, castration only takes away most testosterone but does not make a Horse a mare. The character is still there and so is the being male.
This is quite a misconception for many people, who somehow think that their geldings have become a mare. Wrong, they are still male but the testosterone drive (aggression, competing, mating) will be less or wit some Horses even gone.
We many times still see that gelding respond on mares who are in season. Even with mounting.
Character and temperament are not the same, unfortunately for some of you we people can not cut that away, I bet if that were possible people would do it.
