Teaching your horse to stay out of your space when lunging

Being able to send your horse from a soft feel is a key component of halter breaking. Your horse must be focused on you and be willing to give you his feet in order to execute this successfully. How they respond to this exercise can act as a good indicator of how they will be under saddle on any given day.
