EALA: Mukasa Mbidde to propose bill to ease movement of professional labour all over EAC

The East African Legislative Assembly has granted leave to one of Uganda’s representatives Fred Mukasa Mbidde to draft a private members bill on Cross border Professional Services. The bill seeks to regulate the movement of professional labor, set similar academic qualifications and harmonize payments for professionals in the east Africa region. Some legislators have questioned the commitment of representatives from Tanzania to this bill, given the fact that previous they opposed another bill on harmonising legal services in the bloc.
