3 New recipes for fall| Cooking for my family after VSG surgery
recipes:
Asian Pork Tenderloin or Pork Chops:
1 pound Pork Chops or pork tenderloin
marinade
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
1 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp ground ginger (I used tbsp fresh minced)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
add marinade ingredients to a zip top bag, add Pork and refrigerate at least 8 hours. grill Pork or tenderloin until temp reaches 145 degrees F. let rest 5 minutes. serve with rice
Macaroni and cheese bowls
1 box (16 oz) elbow Macaroni
4 tbsp butter
4 tbsp flour
4 cups milk
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
6-12 slices fully cooked bacon
1 cup shredded Colby jack cheese
1 24 Oz. pjg frozen popcorn chicken
cook chicken according to directions. cook Macaroni according to directions, drain and keep warm. melt butter in a Dutch oven over medium heat, stir in flour and cook 2 minutes stirring constantly. add milk, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. stir in cheddar cheese until melted. stir in Macaroni. chop crisp cooked bacon. top with chicken and Colby jack cheese.
