Dhaba Style Chicken Keema Pav

Prep time: 20 mins
Cooking time: 25-30 mins
Serves: 5-6

Ingredients:
500 gms chicken keema
2-3 tbsp mustard oil
1 bay leaf
1 black cardamom
1 inch cinnamon
1 tbsp cumin seeds
5-6 onions, finely chopped
14-15 garlic cloves, finely chopped
4-5 inch ginger, finely chopped
5-6 tomatoes, finely chopped
Salt to taste
1 tbsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp meat masala
1 tsp kasoori methi
1/2 cup thick curd, at room temperature and whisked
2 green chillies
2-3 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped

Instructions:
In a kadai, add mustard oil.
Once the oil is hot, add bay leaf, black cardamom, cinnamon stick and cumin seeds and let them splutter for a minute.
Then add onions, ginger and garlic and sauté them on medium to high flame till onions are translucent in colour and ginger and garlic are cooked thoroughly.
Once onions are cooked properly, add tomatoes and again cooked them on medium to high flame.
Add salt, Kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, meat masala and kasoori methi and mix well.
Add curd and mix immediately so that curd doesn’t curdle.
Now cover the kadai with the lid and let all the masala’s and tomatoes cook till they are thoroughly cooked.
Then add chicken keema and mix and cook on high flame stirring continuously till keema is cooked half.
Add green chillies and coriander leaves and mix and again cover the kadai with the lid and let the keema cooks on medium heat.
It will take approximately 5-6 minutes to cook.
Switch off the flame and serve chicken keema hot with buttered pav and sirke wala onions.
