10. Daft punk

Guy-Manuel de Homen-Christo and Thomas Bangalter are musicians that came together in the early 90s in France. The duo is famous for their helmets, but this habit was only developed a few years ago. During the early days of their career, they had appeared on TV without any costumes. Fans noticed the first mask in the late '90s during their shows in France. Sooner than everyone expected, they had imbibed it as part of their lifestyle.
They wore it often and never appeared in public without it.

The masks were then replaced with classy suits and futuristic helmets. Today, it is almost impossible to find these guys dressed like normal humans or other regular musicians. Their full disguise became part of them that their fans wanted to see their faces by all means. Guess who burst their bubbles? Photographers! In 2014, some photographers captured their faces after they came home from the Grammy awards. They had packed their helmets in a protective case when the photographer caught them unawares. Hopefully, we get to see more of them on the internet. I must confess, they are handsome! Damn!

9. Slipknot Band

Slipknot is an American-based heavy metal band formed in Iowa in 1955. The team used their mask to drive public attention away from their faces to their music. I guess they felt their looks would sweep fans off their feet and make them lose focus. One of the vocalists once told reporters that the covering allows them to be more intimate with their music. One of the group members who would show up at rehearsals wearing a mask initiated the idea of hiding their faces.

The rest of the team found it exciting and developed the concept further. They modified it to match their attire and stage image. They have successfully kept their faces away from their fans but not their real identity. Because of their unique appearance, their popularity increased within and outside America. Some band members are Chris Fehn - the percussionist, Jim Root – the lead guitarist, Sid Wilson – the keyboardist, Mick Thompson – the rhythm guitarist, Corey Taylor – the vocalist, and Alessandro Venturella – the bassist.

8. Cazzette

This Swedish duo took disguise to a whole new level. While other performers dressed in regular helmets, they wore giant cassettes that represent their craft. The winding circles in the middle of the helmet leave an opening for their eyes. Not only does their appearance make them famous, but their name also rings a bell in the minds of music lovers whenever it is mentioned. They believe their masks grab more attention than their tracks.

Sebastian Furrer and Alexander Bjorklund are the faces behind Cazzette. They performed for the first time in 2011 in Sweden. Their career and art recorded tremendous success and reached the top of the charts in their country. Soon, their fame exploded in other parts of the world. They were signed by Avicil's and Pournouri's management company, where they did an official remix of "Save the world." The song was released around the same time as Adele's "Set fire to the rain," and it did rain fire to the Hype machine's chart. They have played in festivals like Tomorrowland, Creamfields. Ultra, and other international events.
7. Sia

Another personality worthy of mention is the Australian goddess, Sia Kate Furler. She is unarguably one of the most famous persons in Australia. She is a singer who takes solace behind a huge black or blonde wig. Her face is covered during interviews, photoshoots, red carpet, and musical concerts. She has been making music since the early 90s and rose to fame almost immediately.
