Stupid Thieves Caught On Camera

There's no doubt that being a criminal is a daring venture that's obviously not for the weak. However, many criminals have left the authorities shaking their heads in disbelief. These ten stupid thieves caught on camera will make your day!
10. Murder Suspect leaves phone behind
This Georgian man, Brian Garfield Fort, broke into a restaurant with the intention to rob it, but he made a silly mistake that helped the police apprehend him more quickly. Before hastily leaving the scene, he accidentally left his phone behind, which had a photo of his face on the lock screen.
Fort and his friends had dined at The Juicy Crab in Cobb County but left without paying their bills. A staff member immediately called the police, who promptly arrived at the restaurant. The discovery of Fort's phone in the booth where he had been sitting provided valuable information to the police, aiding in their efforts to find him.
Further investigations into Fort revealed that he was already wanted on a murder charge and had been on the run. Fortunately, an employee at the restaurant had also managed to snap a picture of Fort's license plate before he fled. Within hours, the authorities traced him to Brookhaven, where he was eventually arrested.
Prior to these incidents, Fort had been arrested earlier in the same year in Gwinnett County when he was found walking around a high school with a shotgun. It appears that he has been involved in multiple criminal activities and does not display any signs of remorse.
Currently, Fort is being held in the DeKalb County Jail on charges of theft, murder, and firearm possession.

9. Edward Scissorhands
The mystery man in this video gained the nickname "Edward Scissorhands" due to his remarkable talent for snipping branches off trees late at night. This incident took place in Fort Worth, Texas, where perplexed neighbors would wake up to find tree branches scattered on the ground, wondering who was responsible. The mystery was solved when they reviewed footage from the previous night.
This self-proclaimed arborist took it upon himself to trim at least a dozen trees lining the streets in front of people's homes, seemingly unconcerned about the presence of surveillance cameras. It appears that he had developed a habit and had become quite comfortable with his activities. One video captured him in the act around 3 am, taking a few moments to admire his work before moving on to the next tree.
The residents felt threatened by his actions and desired for him to leave the trees alone. Consequently, they contacted the police to intervene and handle the situation. Interestingly, it was discovered that Mr. Scissorhands operated in other nearby streets as well.
Not only was he notorious within the immediate area, but other neighbors had similar stories about the unsolicited tree trimmer. The residents feared that his actions might escalate and become more dangerous if left unchecked. One neighbor expressed, "We really just want him to stop doing this."

8. Fugitive Applies for Job at New Jersey's Sheriff's Office
In an astonishing turn of events, a woman managed to evade justice momentarily but ended up returning to the same office, only to be arrested while applying for a job. Zyeama Johnson, a former Postal Service worker from Jersey City, found herself on the run from law enforcement in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, due to her involvement in a fraud case. However, she made a rather audacious move by applying for a security guard position at the Hudson County Sheriff's Office in New Jersey, where she was eventually caught.
Seeking to expedite the closure of her case and allow the police to focus on more pressing matters, Johnson willingly approached the sheriff's office, where the authorities had been actively searching for her. Unbeknownst to her, they had already identified her as a fugitive. When she submitted her application and presented her documents, the police quickly recognized her as the wanted fraudster. Seizing the opportunity, they summoned her to the station under the pretense of a job interview, only to apprehend her upon her arrival.
As if the situation couldn't get more damning, during the arrest, the police discovered two stolen credit cards in Johnson's possession. Consequently, she now faces additional charges of credit card theft. Prior to her ill-fated job application, she had been the subject of ten bench warrants for repeatedly failing to appear in court regarding traffic charges in Jersey City.
This bizarre series of events led to Johnson's swift capture and ensured that justice would finally be served in her case.
