The Manhattan Transfer - To You - 11 July 1987 • World of Jazz
'Transfer To You' is part of the full live concert, that American jazz vocal group The Manhattan Transfer performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Hague, the Netherlands on 11 July 1987.
With their unique blend of voices, the sublime Janis Siegel, Cheryl Bentyne, Alan Paul and Tim Hauser bring the audience to
their feet in the The Haque Congress Building at the Netherlands’ North Sea Jazz Festival 1987.
The concert features many of their well known songs of the nine albums they had released untill 1987. They did songs from
‘Vocalese’, their most recent album at the time, as well as favourites from their earlier albums.
The Manhattan Transfer is an American vocal music group. There have been two manifestations of the group, with Tim Hauser
being the only person to be part of both. The group's name comes from John Dos Passos' 1925 novel Manhattan Transfer and
refers to their New York origins.
Manhattan Tranfer are:

• Alan Paul
• Tim Hauser
The group is accompanied by the Manhattan Tranfer Band
featuring:
• Yaron Gershovsky, bandleader, keyboards
• Wayne Johnson, guitar
• Buddy Williams, drums
• Alex Blake, bass
• Dan Roberts, sax
