Gazans en route to Australia have visas cancelled mid-air
Former Liberal MP Nicolle Flint has called out the Labor government’s "incompetence" around the Immigration and Home Affairs portfolio, as Gazans fleeing Palestine were left in limbo after having their visas cancelled mid-air.
Two Gazan women were told they couldn’t board a connecting flight to Australia with their children after being told their visas seemed to have been cancelled.
“Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has a lot of questions to answer,” Ms Flint told Sky News Australia host Chris Kenny.
“Labor seems to have absolutely no control over the Immigration and Home Affairs portfolio.
“You’ve used the word incompetent and that is exactly what they are.”
