I am a big fan from Cavite City! I just want to know if the stock market is gambling or not? I really want to start investing already in both Philippine and US markets but a lot of my family members are saying that is is gambling.

Is it actually true that 90% of stock traders lose money? Is it actually true that when you are investing and trading the stock market you are just gambling? Graham Stephan also made a video saying that Why 80% Of Day Traders Lose Money? Is it actually possible and true that most people who trade the markets don’t actually make money. Or is the Humbled Trader correct in saying on her video entitled Why Graham Stephan is WRONG about Day Trading. That you can actually make money in day trading

The stock market is gambling if

Yes if you are guessing

Yes if you are speculating

Yes if you put all your money in the stock market

Yes if you do not have a plan

Yes if you think it will never go down

Yes if you are relying on purely tips

YEs if you think it is get rich quick

The stock market is not gambling because

It requires patience

It requires discipline

It requires taking the time to learn the numbers and the charts
It requires doing the opposite as to what everyone else is doing

It requires doing the time to build the skill

It requires you knowing the company

It requires you setting signals and parameters of when to buy and sell
