‘Not a joke’: Joe Biden tells troops their biggest challenge is global warming

Sky News host Chris Kenny says next up Joe Biden will “appoint Greta Thunberg” as his national security advisor after the US President told troops their biggest challenge was global warming.

It comes after President Biden arrived in the UK for the G7 Summit as well as other bilateral meetings.

“While in the UK, Biden, the commander in chief, addressed some US troops, and as you would expect, the commander in chief spoke to them about global security threats, and the main challenge for the soldiers might have been keeping a straight face,” Mr Kenny said.

“China is throwing its weight around, fortifying islands, building up its armed forces, and bullying its neighbours, and Russia has invaded and annexed its neighbours, while Iran is fuelling terrorist uprisings against Israel and destabilising the Middle East.

“And Joe Biden tells his troops their biggest challenge is global warming.

“Next up he’ll appoint Greta Thunberg as his national security advisor.”
