Croydon Trams: The New Addington Branch

Following on from my video about the Woodside & South Croydon Joint Railway, which is used by the Croydon tram network as far as Coombe Road, we follow the New Addington branch from there to the terminus. This section of the tram network was newly built and uses reserved tram ways separate from the parallel road network. The route crosses the local road network on the level at several locations. The route also climbs sharply to cross the Addington Ridge at about 146 metres above sea level before dropping back to about 60 metres at Addington Village after which it rises again to reach the 150 meter contour just before the New Addington terminus.
