Japanese A5 Wagyu Sushi

Most people don't think of steak as something you'd want to eat raw. But think about it this way. Let's say you have a beautiful piece of salmon. It's fresh caught, river to doorstep salmon. You're going to eat some of it sashimi-style, unless you strictly stay away from that sort of thing, right?

Same thing with good beef. Wagyu is held to the highest standards, so why not eat this sushi-style? The idea of sushi is to take incredible ingredients and keep them simple, adding minimal ingredients that still let the main ingredient speak for itself. So, let's try making sushi bits with the highest quality meat in the world.

Ingredients
1 16-oz piece Wagyu
2 cups cooked Sushi Rice
1 medallion Foie Gras
2 tbsp Soy Sauce
2 tbsp Mirin

1. Cook sushi rice as usual. Any basic recipe is great.
2. Sear off small pieces of foie gras and set aside.
3. Thinly slice wagyu and immediately refrigerate or freeze the remainder for later use.
4. Shape your rice, and lay the foie gras followed by your wagyu atop. Torch this with a culinary torch.
5. Lightly paint each piece of sushi with an even mixture of soy sauce and mirin. Enjoy!
