Eagle-eyed BYU interns study Dugway's desert wildlife

This summer, BYU wildlife management students worked alongside US Army and HawkWatch International colleagues to help study and track eagle chicks, tag kestrel nestlings, and monitor other wildlife at Utah's Dugway Proving Ground. The goal of the project is to monitor and protect fragile habitats, like traditional nesting sites of the golden eagle which have been used for decades, so that wildlife and humans can coexist. For information about BYU internships in the Department of Plant and Wildlife Sciences, see the website: pws.byu.edu/internshipspws.byu.edu.

Special thanks to Dugway Proving Ground, the US Army, and HawkWatch International
