Lesson 10 Pattern disk operation setting

This time, we will look at how to set the overlapping time or shogging time of the pattern disk.
All criteria in the description are Tricot Karl mayer 28 gauge machines.
As for the pattern drive shogging time, if the correct operation is not performed as shown in the figure, the guide will hit the bars.
The 8 degree indication on the pattern wheel is the movement angle of the pattern wheel during overlapping operation.
This screen shows the shogging time, i.e. timing, working normally.
In this way, it is normal if the guide and the needle do not collide with each other in the process of moving one guide space as an overlapping motion, that is, moving from tissue #1 to #2 before entering again after passing the needle.
At this point, the overlapping motion started quickly.
As soon as the guide leaves the needle, it should move to the tissue number 10 or 12, but before the guide passes the needle, it moves in advance so that you can see it collide with the needle.
In this case, the timing is early, so you need to adjust the timing so that it is done late.
Conversely, the overlapping motion starts late.
The guide moves slowly, so it cannot pass normally and bumps into the needle.
In this case, the overlapping operation is late, so it is necessary to adjust the timing so that it occurs quickly.
If this behavior is not accurate, there are many side effects.
Let's see how to get the timing of the new Karl Meyer machine.
The blue hole is a key hole for selecting the starting position of the organization number.
The red mark on the top is the keyhole to match the timing.
Insert a 10mm key here.
First, if you look inside the pulley on the main shaft, there are points marked on the wheel and lines marked on the frame. Align these two points to match.
This is the highest point of the needle or the highest point of the guide lever, and the 180 degree position of the cam motion, at which point the machine stops.
Loosen the pattern drive main shaft clamp.
Turn the main axis of the pattern drive clockwise to align it exactly so that it touches the arrow mark position as shown on the screen.
Then the timing setting is finished and you just need to remove the 10mm key.
Turning the pattern drive axis clockwise speeds up the timing.
When turned counterclockwise, the timing motion starts late.
After completing all adjustments, lock the clamp to finish.
