100+ Kayakers fishing on the Delta

***I apologize but my GoPro acted up on this day and some of the clips are missing audio.

Overall, it was a decent day. My gameplan for flippin/froggin/chatterbaitin’ up into the cover didn’t pan out so I had to adjust. Lesson learned here, never rule anything out. On the highest tide (when the fish should’ve been up against the bank), I stumbled upon them out in the middle in 5-7 FOW. The ticket was slow rolling a KVD 1.5 squarebill ticking the tops of the grass and every bite I had was vicious. They were smashing that crankbait, just couldn’t get the size I needed. Oh well, fun day of fishing with friends. Can’t wait for the next one!
