The MASH cast featured lots of actors who created huge careers out of the show. Let's take a closer look at some of the favorite M*A*S*H cast members.

Loretta Jane Swit is best known for her portrayal of Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan on M*A*S*H, for which she won two Emmy Awards. After a historic run on MASH, she continued to act, and remains active to this day. How do you think she's aged after all these years?

Alan Alda is a six-time Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner, and played Hawkeye Pierce in M*A*S*H. He has had recurring roles on television programs and appeared in numerous films since then. Alan Alda is perhaps one of the most active members of the MASH cast today, and he doesn't seem to be slowing down.

Jamie Farr is known for playing the cross-dressing corporal Maxwell Q. Klinger in M*A*S*H, but that seemed to be the peak of his career. He appeared in television and film a few times after, and still does to this day, but no roles have been as iconic for him as Corporal Klinger.

William Christopher was active in television before landing the role of Private Lester Hummel on Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. from 1965 to 1968. This role probably caused him to get the role of Father Mulcahy on M*A*S*H, which he reprised in the spinoff AfterMASH from 1983 to 1985.

Harry Morgan had an extensive career in television and film - spanning six decades and over 100 films - but MASH might've been the highlight. He played Col. Sherman Potter in both MASH and AfterMASH, and it's probably his best-known role to this day.

Michael Joseph Farrell Jr., or Mike Farrell, is best known for his role as Captain B.J. Hunnicutt on M*A*S*H. He is also an activist and public speaker for various political causes. Farrell was a producer of Patch Adams starring Robin Williams, and starred in the television series Providence. While he is not very active today, his role in MASH is unforgettable.

Kellye Nakahara is best known for playing Nurse Kealani Kellye in M*A*S*H, but she sadly passed away earlier this year in 2020. She appeared in a variety of other roles throughout her career, including Dr. Doolittle, but like the other actors here, none were as iconic as her role in MASH.

Gary Rich Burghoff is known for Corporal Walter Eugene "Radar" O'Reilly in the MASH film and TV series. He is also known for originating the role of Charlie Brown in the 1967 Off-Broadway musical You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Sadly, he departed MASH early because he felt burnt-out and wanted to spend more time with family.

David Allen Ogden Stiers is known for playing Charles Emerson Winchester III in MASH. He also appeared in numerous productions on Broadway, and originated the role of Feldman in The Magic Show, in which he appeared for four years between 1974 and 1978. Sadly, he passed away in 2018.

Larry Linville was known for his portrayal of obnoxious, overly pious, self-centered and inept surgeon Major Frank Burns. He was an active television actor outside of MASH, although M*A*S*H certainly forged his popularity. Sadly, he passed in 2000 after years of surgeries to remove a tumor in his lung.

Edgar McLean Stevenson Jr. is best known for his role as Lt. Colonel Henry Blake in M*A*S*H, which earned him a Golden Globe Award in 1974. During treatment for bladder cancer, he suffered a heart attack in 1996 and passed away.
